The MoC: Summer 2024 odds 'n 'ends - California 2 Seattle
Apologies for the random clips, but I was having fun riding and not recording much.
The Story goes as such:
Went to Roseville, CA and met a bunch of riders, including Mississippi, and we agreed to greenhorn (take on a newbie) German photojournalist north to Portland.
...things didn't go as planned. We had such a hard time getting north, due to changes in UP's operations at the JR Davis yard, that we went to Sacramento. We got a train...BN...and it dropped us in Oroville, CA. Don't go there, it's terrible.
Went to Chico (also terrible), and got stuck with no money for almost a week. Finally, after deciphering the mainline operations ear Chico, we got UP north, the BN north to Bend and eventually up to Seattle on UP again.
Much suffering was endured...and lessons learned.
