When is something worth fixing? For something like an Oster 16-speed blender, here in America, it hardly ever is. Most people will just order a new one.
Our society is also a blender of people. Not of guts, gooey insides, and bloody tissues, at least not usually. Society is a blender of many races, cultures, thoughts, emotions, dreams and failures.
What do you do when this blender breaks? Can we re-order it on Amazon Prime? Can we charge it to our American Express Card? What do you do when the blades of tolerance no longer cut through our differences and are broken and rusted?
What do you do when the clunky buttons designed to control our government no longer work? When the engine of justice that once drove our purpose has lost its strength? The controls feel and click with a familiar tone, but when you push them, nothing happens.
Sorry, this is not a tutorial.
