Romans Against Druids
The Romans, led by Julius Caesar, first encountered the Druids in 55 BC during his campaign to conquer Britain and Gaul, areas known for their druidic tradition.
Initial conflicts between Romans and Druids were marked by military confrontation, but also involved attempts at diplomacy, as Caesar initially tried to negotiate with the Druids.
