Sights and Sounds | IMSA at Mid-Ohio 2021
Sorry about the shaky video and other consistency issues like brightness. This was mainly me testing the new camera I got (Sony ZV-1). Saved some settings with the ND filter off which you can see in the MX-5 race along with having the camera in manual mode which means it didn't correct when I zoomed in and changed the F stop. Camera shake was because I was recording mostly in 120 fps mode which disabled some stabilization settings but allowed for some cool shots. I'm surprised how good the built in microphone was for recording the track sounds. Audio is uncompressed so turn it up and hear the difference in audio levels of the different classes!!! I did bring an external mic but decided not to use it this time around. I wish I used it for commentary though cause man was the audio garbage for that. This camera can also shoot in bursts of 240 fps which you can see at the end. Its also mixed with 120 fps footage slowed to 60.
Better quality will come with practice. It was definitely a learning experience.
