The RNLI celebrated its 200th anniversary on Monday 4 March 2024. They are a charity largely staffed by volunteers and have to date saved 146,277 lives. The lifeboat station at Chiswick Pier is the second busiest in the whole of the UK and Ireland.
The RNLI have made this video to tell the history of the organisation.
