Hologram Techno Dance
My first proper rotoscoping project featuring myself doing a dance I choreographed.
This took me dayyyyssssss to make... I never wanted to not commit living so much when creating this hell....
My vision was to get is a holographic/cyberpunk theme with static/lagging render effects of sorts.
I originally planned to have the background and foreground assets as a 2D matte painting, and then have the turnaround effect as a parallax and projection to create more of a 3D environment.
But I ditched the idea and turned it into a more cartoonish feel to it. Which is fine (≧◡≦) - I didn't go completely all cartoonish as I felt it was pulling away from my aim of this project. So instead, I turned to learning and achieving blending 2 different themes a little bit more.
I am very happy with the outcome of the project and I hope you all enjoy it!
And without a green screen...
