This is a how to video on using the clutch on a cordless drill. In the video I am using a DeWALT 20V MAX 1/2" Hammer Drill (DCD985) The purpose of adjusting the torque on the drill is to make sure that you don't overdrive the screw into the material that your using. Also when fastening a screw into metal, if to much torque is used it is very likely that the screw will snap. Most newer drills will have a torque selector with settings ranging from 1-22. Generally, settings 1-5 are usually for short screws going into wood 1/4" or less. 6-15 are good for larger screws into wood and when drilling into stone and metal a mid to higher torque setting will work best.
