Mastermind | Andy/Simon/Rebecca/John (S38E01 - Nov. 4th, 2011)
On November 4th, 2011, Mastermind with John Humphrys returned to the airwaves for its 38th series. To start off the new series are the following contestants, with names in all capital letters, followed by their occupation and then in parenthesis, their chosen specialist subject:
ANDY TUCKER - Former diplomat (Robert Bruce Lockhart)
SIMON SPIRO - Ph. D Student (Human Parasites)
REBECCA WICKENS - Local Government Officer (Life & Work of A.C. Swinburne)
JOHN SNEDDEN - Teacher (Siege of Malta 1565)
As usual, these contenders will get two minutes of questions on their chosen subject and then in ascending order of points, they'll answer general knowledge questions within two-and-a-half minutes. The one in the lead (or if there's a tie, along with least number of passes, if there's no tie in passes) advances through to the next round while the runner-up hopes their score will be high enough to return. Let the new series of Mastermind commence!
NOTE: This is the only episode of Mastermind that I have in my collection. Also, Andy Tucker would eventually go on to be a contestant on Fifteen to One with Sandi Toksvig
