Our Freezer Quit Working So I Made Defrosted Pea Hummus!
Today Jill shows how to take frozen peas that have been defrosted and make a non-traditional hummus spread. Let's see how to it turns out! The recipe is below:
Fresh Pea Hummus Spread:
1 1/4 cup fresh (frozen) peas -- defrost peas if using frozen
1 can garbanzo beans -- drained and rinsed well
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup plain yogurt
3 tablespoons chopped green onions
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
Add all items to the bowl of a food processor. Process until smooth. I wasn't able to get this hummus completely smooth. It did have a bit of texture
Serve with crackers or pita chips.
