Cybertruck charging solution/problem. Old Tesla accessory is the solution for Cybertruck charging
The Cybertruck is the latest and greatest in Tesla vehicles, but you can't take your Tesla Cybertruck to a Electrify America, EVgo or Chargepoint DC fast chargers using the current CCS adapter from Tesla. The Tesla CCS adapter does not fit into the charge port on the Cybertruck due to the wheel well trim. It is not possible to push it far enough in. Tesla does not currently, at the time of recording this video, have another adapter available for Cybertruck. But even after removing all the trim and inserting the adapter all the way a Cybertruck was not able to charge at a CCS station! Nobody knows why, since it says that CCS is enabled on that Cybertruck. What does a Cybertruck owner do when going of the beaten path where there are no Superchargers? Well this old Tesla accessory maybe the solution, at least for now until Tesla comes out with a new CCS adapter for Cybertruck, if they ever do.
