The Column of Marcus Aurelius
The Column of Marcus Aurelius was constructed between 176 and 192 AD in his honour. The column was erected in the square Piazza Colonna (which houses the Italian Parliament today) after his death to celebrate the victory of the Marcomannic Wars.
