Piaget's theory of cognitive development
Piaget's theory states that we must overcome four stages of cognitive development:
1. The sensorimotor stage
2. The preoperational stage
3. The concrete operational stage
4. The formal operational stage.
Only when we have passed through all stages, which can vary depending on age, can we achieve full human intelligence.
