Hatmah Nalugwa unveils the National Events Service Provider's Awards
National Events Service Providers Awards (NESPAS) is an initiative designed to recognize, reward, acknowledge, and promote the events service providers efforts and role in Uganda's events service industry. It's aim is to establish a robust platform for recognizing excellence and fostering professionalism among event service providers.
NESPAS mission is to set the benchemark for Uganda's events industry by highlighting, recognizing, and rewarding individuals, businesses and companies for their pivotal role played in the events service industry.
Therefore, NESPAS serves as a gateway for and to the Alliance Uganda Events Contractors (AUEC), a fully registered umbrella, committed to addressing critical challenges within the industry, such as lack of standardization, collaboration, inadequate regulation, and support for growth, networking and skills enhancement.
AUEC plans to focus on Key projects, which will not only support industry growth but also create employment opportunities, wealth creation platforms for economic growth and stability, empowerment, and education for many Ugandans. It will also benchmark on regional integration to elevate skills and sustainability..
AUEC will contribute to the SDGs #8 of Decent Work and Economic Growth: Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth and SDG #17 of Partnerships for the Goals: Strengthen global partnerships for sustainable development in uganda, its neighbors and global Village. It ultimately encapsulates our commitment to elevating the sector and ensuring its sustainable development.
The Nespas24 (organized by AUEC) as the first of the kind was launched on 1st March 2024 and endorsed by the State Min for Tourism, Hon. Martin Bahinduka. This maiden project's theme is "Celebrating the Art of Hospitality and Excellence in Uganda's Events Service Industry," is scheduled for the 28th of Nov. 2024 at Imperial Royale Hotel , where the Awards comprise of 25 industry category awards and 5 Honorary Awards from the ESP industry.
The events service providers will attend the event on the week day because they are busy over the weekend.
