From the first take - Fly me to the moon
A traditional jazz song written by Bart Howard in 1954. At first she was called “In Other Words” and performed by Felicia Sanders in a cabaret. The song became popularly known as "Fly Me to the Moon" the first time, and after several years the publishers made this name official. In 1996, at the Grand Prix of Animage Magazine, this song took fifteenth place among the best closing themes of the anime, as the closing theme of the Evangelion series.
