. Hard-packed and rough surface? No problem, thanks to the 3rd central rotor of the Rock Tornado 550. Originating from eastern Finland, where you might ask if there are more stones than dirt, the Rock Tornado is a true full-width rock picker that loosens the stones beneath the surface and lifts them using a chain conveyor instead of a rotor. Why a chain? Simple, the stones are drug along a sprung sieve screen, during which more dirt is shaken loose, allowing for superior stone-soil separation compared to rotor-based machines. An outstanding feature of the Rock Tornado 550 is full mechanical drives, and shafts equipped with overload clutches, which means a far reduced hydraulic demand, and no overheating of the tractor's hydraulic system. Generous unloading height, tandem axle for superior floatation, and an optional wide-angle PTO.
