In this video I take a look at the meanings and symbols in the film The Northman, let me know what you thought of my interpretations and if there is anything I missed out.
Also apologies for miss pronouncing Amleth's name during some parts of the video.
I also forgot to mention that Amleth was not being truthful when he said he needs to kill his uncle to protect Olga and his future children, he was only justifying to Olga and possibly himself going back to take revenge which is what he always wanted to do. The final scene supports this theory as if we do not accept him literally going to Valhala but instead we see it as a representation of what is going through his head, we see that in his last moments alive he feels relieved that he is going to Valhala he does not think of Olga because revenge was most important to him.
