Modern slavery is a huge problem - some estimates say 40 million people are trapped in modern slavery worldwide.
It affects people here in the UK and includes forced labour and criminality, sexual exploitation and domestic servitude.
The Salvation Army provides specialist support for those affected by modern slavery in England and Wales. The people we are supporting are victims of a terrible crime - but they are also survivors - and we want to enable them to rebuild their lives.
