ISLAM ON THE ISLAND OF THE GODS
This village, called Pegayaman, is located in Sukasada sub-district, Buleleng regency, about 87 km from Denpasar. There's no Bali with a Hindu face here; there's Bali with an Islamic face. Pegayaman is an ancient village in Bali. It's not inhabited by recent arrivals; they are indigenous Balinese. The ancestors of these villagers have lived in Pegayaman for hundreds of years.
