Training a 10 year old dog: ASC’s Reptar (see description below)
Reptar has been my son’s dog and our house dog for 10 years. He is very well mannered and heavily socialized American Sentinel that has been our house dog since my son, Conner, was 8 years old. Reptar caught his first hog before he was just 3-4 months old and has done protection work as well, but was never taught much in terms of obedience other than sit, down, and speak.
Because of the old phrase, you cannot teach an old dog new tricks, I will be using him, as well as Chewy, Scarlet, and a few others, in an upcoming video series on obedience training. Stay tuned.
