Winterizing my Mountain Bike || Inspecting and Final Cleaning for the Season.
Washing your mountain bike is important and I do that often. At the end of the season, before your bike is ready for storage, it's important to put some extra time in to be sure it is ready to run in the spring again. This means lubing the bike thoroughly and cleaning it well. This prevents the seals from drying and ensures there are no surprises in the coming year when you take it down.

Fall is also an excellent time to take your bike to a shop if needed, since the mechanics have sharp skills from hundreds of summer tunes. Plus they will likely have less pressure and can put a little extra time and pride into the service. I am definitely speaking from experience. If there is anything that needs to be done, get it done before the snow flies and check out some of the sale gear too.
