Someone, besides being a love song, could be a statement about the whole "By The Way" era in general; a time when, rather than stirring up controversy, the Peppers composed an album brimming with beauty and carefree sentiment "The Zephyr Song", which Someone is the B-side for, is a perfect example of a carefree philosophy.
It is the second of four b-sides in the Zephyr Song singles.
