Give your child a little basket and scissors to take around the garden to pick flowers for flower arranging.
My 2 year old loves fresh flowers in her playroom and today we handpicked fresh daises from our garden and arranged them on a seagrass dish.
Dr. Montessori made an interesting assertion: by refining the child’s sensory and aesthetic sensibilities, we prepare her moral sensibilities. She believed children who develop an appreciation for the aesthetic harmony in nature, discerning order and beauty, are more easily morally educated.
