Cefiro A31 RB25DET Project (EP. 7) Replacing The Fuel Pump
Hi guys!
Short video on how to replace your fuel pump in the Cefiro A31.
Before you start doing any work, make sure to remove the fuel pump relay (green in color) on the rear trunk right below the trunk latch and give a few crank to make sure no fuel pressure in the lines anymore.
Once that is done, remove the battery terminals as well to ensure there will be no current or spark occurrence. Fuel are highly flammable and dangerous to your skin and eyes, make sure do not smoke around it and use protective glove and glasses.
Remove the 4 units of 10mm bolts top cover. Once removed, remove the 2 hose clips (right is feed and left is return). Remove 6 units of 8mm bolts, and you will be able to remove the fuel pump hat out.
Make sure to remove it slowly and in an angle shown in video to prevent the float level breaking apart.
Solder or crimp the fuel pump positive and negative, and have a good strong thick cable tie to mount the pump on the bracket (use 2 or 3 to fully secure it).
Reverse all the step back for installation and all done!
