Response: What Mr. Beat gets WRONG about LDS history
YouTuber Mr. Beat recently published a video about the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this episode, David Snell reviews Mr. Beat's video and points out some inaccuracies or areas where there might be some confusion.

Notes:
— Another inaccuracy that I didn’t end up addressing in this video: At around 11:58 in Mr. Beat’s video, he says that after the loss of the 116 pages, Oliver Cowdery and Emma Smith helped Joseph translate “other stuff” that later became the Book of Mormon. The quote from this “other stuff” that he gives is not actually a reprimand of Martin Harris included in the Book of Mormon, it’s a reprimand of Martin included in Doctrine and Covenants section 3. But if you read the whole section, D&C 3 is really more of a reprimand against Joseph Smith (more so than anyone else) for losing the pages. The Lord gives Joseph another chance, but flat-out tells him: “behold, how oft you have transgressed the commandments and the laws of God, and have gone on in the persuasions of men. For, behold, you should not have feared man more than God.” The revelation tells Joseph, “you should have been faithful …. And this is the reason that thou hast lost thy privileges for a season — For thou hast suffered the counsel of thy director to be trampled upon from the beginning.” It’s not the only time that the prophet himself is singled out by his own revelations.
