Must Do in Playa del Carmen: Quinta Avenida, Portal Maya
Join us as we explore Playa del Carmen’s city centre in this first episode of our Mexico travel series! We stayed for a week at the Riu Tequila all-inclusive resort, and while a full video on the hotel is coming soon, today we’re taking you through the best spots to visit downtown.
We started our adventure by walking from the hotel to Quinta Avenida, Playa del Carmen’s main shopping and dining street. Along the way, we discovered the Frida Kahlo Museum, admired the stunning Portal Maya Statue, and stopped at Señor Frog’s for a refreshing chelada. Finally, we ended our day with delicious fajitas at Pez Vela before heading back to the resort.
