ABOUT WPC, ATUM and THIRTY-THREE
Last summer I was listening to the William Patrick Corgan’s podcast Thirty-Three. He was unpacking the new Smashing Pumpkins ATUM. Taking it scene by scene, track by track. It was a 33 song space opera. https://www.wpcthirtythree.com
Corgan mentioned in the podcast that he was disappointed that there hadn’t been much media generated by the fans. Having been a longtime fan of the Smashing Pumpkins, and very interested in the band’s explorations into new media, I decided to engage. I bumped into Corgan last fall after a cool show at his teahouse featuring Robert Mirabel and the Rare Tribal Mob. I told him that I was working on this project and he said something to the effect of ---- I wish more people would make videos for our songs. The MTV days are over and now its all on the band.... but ANYONE can do it now. I slipped him a QR code to this video at his new years eve party. Not sure if he has seen it yet.

Corgan wrote this song, and wrote this scene ( it is one of thirty three acts).
His notes from the CD about THIS track are as follows
"EMBRACER (performed by June, to Earth below): A mournful June, aghast at Shiny's decision to end an illustrious life, sends a digital flare to Earth via primitive means. Hoping fitfully that someone below might take heart to enact whatever measures are needed to stop Shiny's fatal advance. And where with luck, June's 'message in a bottle' is detected on a obscure fan board by 'Hopus Dei'."
