A Cuban Collaboration

... I traveled to Havana, Cuba to social dance, feel the vibe
of the dance community, and create art.
This piece is inspired by Salseros’ perennial positivity even as they
face hardship. On Christmas Eve, I directed 19 social dancers
and 3 musicians in this collaborative video.
Special thanks to Reynier Calderón Chacón, our dance captain.

the dance and arts communities by bringing donations,
or are looking to take dance lessons in Havana, it is
difficult to know how to get things to the Cuban peoples.
