The Ship showdown free fly event has begun. This even is 100% free you don't even need a game package to play.

and download the launcher and you are ready to go.
After you log into the verse and choose your start location you can either try out the tutorial or just start playing. During the entirety of the free fly event you will have access to the following ships
1.the C1 Spirit: This ship from crusader is a smaller dedicated cargo hauler compared to the MSR, very fast and fun to fly it can carry two 32 SCU boxes with room to spare as well as smaller vehicles like the ROC mining buggy
2. The Mercury Star Runner (MSR) larger than the C1 this Crusader ship is a cargo hauler with a secret, it has data running servers and shielded hidden holds for more (discrete) hauling. Larger living area and is the Millennium Falcon of the verse.
3. The greycat STV: a jeep and a VB buggy had a baby and it's awesome.
4:The Ursa Medivac: If you like FPS combat but hate having to walk more than 30 feet in the game this is the truck for you.
5. 890 Jump: Imagine you are Jeff Bezos and you want a superyacht. What's it do? is it useful? These are not questions the ultra rich ask.
6. the 600i Explorer: Ok so no imagine you are Richard Branson, you still have all that money and now you want to go exploring, you want to maybe haul a bit of supplies, chart the unknown and still arrive in opulent style. Plus in the future you will swap out that explorer module with extra rooms and have the space home of your dreams,, the 600i is where it's at.
7: The terrapin" Possibly this years Meme vote if the Ursa loses to the STV, it's a cool ship, looks like a turtle and I love it but can't really say it's better than anything out there. I love it and luckily it's going up against the next ship for round one.
8.The Gladiator" A solid ship but for sure in the underdog category because it's only comparable to much stronger or better competitors in the verse. It does have the added bonus of having bombs. It will deserve any win it gets. Give it a fly.
9 & 10 the Fury LX and the M50: two racing ships, no great in combat, can't mine or salvage or bed log, and as for hauling, they only haul one thing and that's A$$, these ships are fun and low to the ground flying is not for the uninitiated pilot. Good luck out there setting some good times on the tracks.
11 The reclaimer: This massive ship gives off serious Ridley Scott vibes while you rip apart some derelict salvage, the massive hold can make you a serious profit until the next parch where the small elevator is going to make unloading more fo a challenge. Until then a fun ship to earn a good profit.
12 The Vulture: A single seater salvage ship with some serious power behind it, room to salvage components cargo, guns and entire ship hulls in one small package.
13: The Syulen: An alien ship with a very alien design, hard to take off and and in some situations but once in the sky a true joy to fly, with a unique multi floor living space packed into a small space.
14 The Banu Defender: The only Banu ship currently in game, this small two seater is surprisingly spacious and fun to fly.
15 F8C Lightning: If you want to fight this is the best single seat fighter the UEE can provide.
16 Lastly the F7C Hornet Mk2 : smaller than the F8 but more obtainable, you see many more of these terrific ships out in the verse and it will be interesting to see which one makes the cut.
