The renovations included the construction of a new press box, improved seating, locker rooms, and other amenities. The stadium was renamed the George V. Meehan Auditorium in honor of George V. Meehan's continued support of the university.
In recent years, there have been additional upgrades and improvements to the stadium. These have included the installation of a new playing surface, enhanced lighting, and the addition of modern amenities to improve the fan experience.
Today, the Brown Football Stadium continues to serve as the home field for the Brown Bears football team. The capacity of the stadium has been reduced to approximately 8,000 due to ongoing renovations and safety considerations. The stadium also hosts other events, including lacrosse games and various community activities.
