LUBUKLINGGAU CITY HISTORY
In 1929 the status of Lubuklinggau was as the capital of the Sindang Kelingi Ilir clan, under the Musi Ulu Onder District. Onder District Musi Ulu itself is the capital city of Muara Beliti. In 1933 the capital city of Onder District Musi Ulu was moved from Muara Beliti to Lubuklinggau. In 1942-1945 Lubuklinggau became the capital of the Musi Ulu Kewedanan and continued after independence. At the time of Clash I in 1947, Lubuklinggau was made the Capital of the Government of the Southern Sumatra Province. In 1948 Lubuklinggau became the capital of Musi Ulu Rawas Regency and remained the Capital of the Residency of Palembang.
In 1956 Lubuklinggau became the capital of the Second Level Autonomous Region of Musi Rawas. In 1981 with the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 38 dated October 30, 1981 Lubuklinggau established its status as an Administrative City. Year 2001 with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2001 dated June 21, 2001 Lubuklinggau status.

The development of Lubuklinggau City has progressed rapidly along with all the problems it faces and demands the establishment of steps that can anticipate the development of the City, as well as solve the problems faced. For this reason, Strategic Management is needed which is expected to be able to manage and develop Lubuklinggau City as a transit city in a more advanced direction towards the Metropolitan City. Lubuklinggau City is located in a very strategic geographical position, namely between Jambi Province, Bengkulu Province and the capital city of South Sumatra Province (Palembang) and is a connecting route between Java Island and cities in the northern part of Sumatra Island.
