False Photo Radar Alerts: Radar detectors sometimes misidentify these traffic sensors as "Photo Radar" (like MultaRadar or Gatso). This happens because both use complex modulation patterns to track distance and position across multiple lanes, leading the detector to confuse the traffic sensor with a ticketing system. Stationary Monitoring: While traditional continuous-wave police radar struggles with stationary objects, the radar units at intersections are specifically designed to monitor "presence," including motorcycles and cars stopped at red lights. [04:05, 04:26]
