NYC Ferry Service has been operated by Hornblower since 2016. Their network of ferry routes consists of six routes serviced by 38 vessels connecting 21 piers in all five New York City boroughs on an hourly or 30-minute departure schedule. Originally expected to transport 4.5 to 4.6 million passengers annually, higher-than-expected ridership on NYC Ferry routes led to an expansion. A newly built, state-of-the-art maintenance facility now allows workers to take care of day-to-day maintenance tasks such as engineering, provisioning, fueling, and maintenance all in one location. The only thing missing was a safe and efficient way for operators to access the fleet. Because traditional maritime gangways are not well suited for getting on and off vessels safely, our team knew MarinaStep's high-capacity, high-volume gangways would be the right fit for this application.
Our MarinaStep barge and ship access gangways are made from corrosion-resistant aluminum to withstand regular use in a marine environment. Durable and customizable, our gangways provide safe, compliant, and reliable access to make your business more efficient.
