Red Dots on 1911s- Alchemy Custom Weaponry
The less-than-dynamic duo is back to talk about a recently controversial topic- red dots on 1911 pistols. You'll have some folks who say it's blasphemous and others who say it's necessary, but regardless of what camp you are in we've got an option for you.
We at ACW utilize the Cabot (our sister company) Red Dot Mount. This makes up one of the very, very few things we actually throw into a modern machine during the build process. It is one of the lowest mounts in the business and sits far back enough that optics like the Trijicon SRO do not hang over the ejection port. Included with the mount are backup iron sights consisting of a serrated blacked-out rear and a fiber optic front.
