Holidays in the Online Classroom 🎃 🦃 🎅🏻
It's the holiday season once again! If your holiday season is anything like mine, then it's pretty chaotic. That's why I like to control the chaos wherever I can - and that includes my online classroom.
We're all parents here. We know how our kids get during the holiday season. They're sugared up, they're out of routine, and they're just excited. That same energy trickles over into their classroom (x30). Thankfully, in the online classroom, your numbers are much smaller! Usually from 1-8 max.
So, how do I help control the chaos as an online teacher? I lean in! The holidays are my favorite too. There's something about walking into my Mom and Dad's house every Christmas and getting hit with that nostalgia even as an adult. It's still decorated to the nines. There's always a delicious meal. And, my son is making the same holiday memories I've made with her. He loves baking cookies with her!
