Bristol Bay is home to the world's largest sockeye salmon run, and where an expected 72 million sockeye will return this summer. This thriving and productive fishery is threatened, however, by the proposed Pebble Mine, a massive, open-pit gold and copper mine situated directly upstream from Bristol Bay.
