My name is Stefan Komlos, and a little over 3 years ago, I started this channel.
In it's time, we had a lot of fun with this channel, growing a community, creating friendships, and learning a lot about the YouTube ecosystem as well.
When I started the channel, my intention was always that it was supposed to be a fun community channel, that people could upload to and gain some personal exposure.
Naturally at some point we needed to make money, so we partered up with BroadbandTV and became a subnetwork with them.
At the time, they had rather strict partnership policies, that weren't flexible or very favorable for partners.
Sadly we continued to partner people under these terms, and to this date there is a bit of resentment due to that (as you can see by the amount of dislikes we automatically get per upload).
I've been working on the Community / Networking and business aspect of YouTube now for almost 5 years and seriously do only have the best intentions for the community.
With that being said, I spoke with some ex- MreGamers staff, directors and partners, and regretibly think this is the time to retire the MreGamersTV Channel, community, and idea.
I do however have a new venture that I would like to open up to ANY of you watching this, regardless if you used to work with us, were a partner of ours, a director, recruiter, or just a viewer.
This new venture I'll be undertaking revolves around the concept of trying to catalogue Games, Movies, News, Technology, Music onto a website.
The kicker is, all these articles will be of Videos.
So example, the Gaming category should eventually have a video review from YouTube for ALL games available.
We'll also have a section for YouTube, where we will make educational content about YouTube, News surrounding YouTube, as well as Channel Spotlight of YouTubers (and not just the big ones, but more aimed towards people like YOU, the average person!)
Now, this will be a large project, but if done correctly, can be a huge success.
This is a community effort and a community project I want to share with all of you!
