Intercept the emergency order "Leica Q3 43" with the "Sony a7C II" (lol). Did you know that the 43mm in our beloved standard FA Limited lens, the Pentax "smc PENTAX-FA 43mm F1.9 Limited," also known as the smc PENTAX-L 43mm F1.9 Special, also had an L39 screw-mount version? And it was a limited edition with only a very limited number sold, truly limited and special.
This time, I mounted it on the Sony α7C II for testing. I also used a Leica M11 and a Leica SL2.
Regarding the number of units produced, one website states that 1,200 black and 800 silver, for a total of 2,000. I only have a vague recollection of when I looked into it a long time ago, so I'm not sure of the exact numbers. A YouTube video by Stereo Camera, which sadly closed down, also stated that there were 800 silver units. However, if you're buying the same lens, the K-mount version is overwhelmingly cheaper, so if you're using it with a mirrorless or SLR camera, it's definitely the better value for money. The second-hand purchase price for both is about the same.
