Need to sharpen up your web design skills by getting involved with a community of creatives? Great news! We are launching our new Pixelhaze Community on Skool.

You can join our waitlist here to find out more: https://community.pixelhaze.academy/i... Watch as Elwyn reviews some first-time poster concepts created by school students using Canva. In this video, we put Canva posters to the test, also how we incorporated the PixelHaze Principles of Design into the feedback.
Discover how these design principles, including the Space, Man principle, which involves the use of white space to let your design breathe, the Spotlight principle, which draws attention to the most critical elements of the poster; and the Consistency is Key principle which ensures a cohesive design strategy can help you create stunning posters that not only stand out from the crowd but also effectively convey your message to the intended audience.

Whether you're a student, a designer, or anyone looking to improve their design skills, this video is a must-watch!

What is Canva?

The technical term for Canva is that it's desktop publishing software based in the cloud. So what on earth does that mean? In layman's terms, it means that Canva is internet and browser-based software that you can use to create graphics, social media posts, business stationery, posters, flyers, and even as a simple photo editor. It comes with a wide range of starter templates and a pretty intuitive interface that allows you to start creating with little fuss.

I like to refer to it as Minecraft for graphic design: it's a playground with a wide array of tools that you can get up and running, but like Minecraft, would you use it for very complex, high-spec projects? Probably not. However, having said that, we use it regularly for our own work.

Ready to go Canva Pro?

What’s the difference between Canva and Canva Pro?
Canva is a free app that lets you create visual content like graphics, presentations, posters and more. You can use it to create social media images, blog posts, and all sorts of different marketing assets. Canva Pro is a subscription-based service that gives you access to design tools and features that aren’t available in the free version of Canva. If you’re creating visuals regularly and want access to a broader range of templates and design assets (a much larger photo and illustration library), Canva Pro might be worth the investment.
