A Bioshock Parody - 5 Hour Challenge
I'm Elwyn Davies, and I'm here to ask you a question...
Our team at Pixelhaze Academy are celebrating the launch of our new Skool Community, which aims to help designers, digital marketers, and business owners master technology and create professional websites and marketing campaigns.
For this special occasion, I paid tribute to the iconic Andrew Ryan monologue (from the Bioshock video game) with this parody. This monologue is renowned for its thought-provoking content and has received critical acclaim for its depth and impact in the gaming community.
Here's a snippet of the original:
"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No,' says the man in Washington, 'it belongs to the poor.' 'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'it belongs to God.' 'No,' says the man in Moscow, 'it belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture."
Inspired by this, I crafted my version to celebrate our community and the freedom to share and learn design secrets. In particular, I focused on the real-life issues new designers face in accessing design secrets and the best professional tips and tricks.
This is especially difficult for those launching careers on their own as freelancers.

Creating the Video:
As an exercise to keep my skills sharp, I gave myself just 5 hours to create this video from start to finish, using only the software and resources at my disposal. Here’s how I did it:
ChatGPT: Assistance with the script.
Midjourney: Creation of projector slide images.
Adobe Photoshop: Editing of photos and adding effects.
Adobe Stock: 'Please Stand By' intro sting.
Descript: Voice-over recording, assembly, and stock audio.
I hope to launch creative competitions within our community over the coming months, encouraging everyone to push their boundaries and explore new creative horizons.
