The second-generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has arrived for 2025. The GC originally debuted as the four-door alternative to the standard 2 Series, riding on BMW’s front-wheel-drive platform. The updated sedan debuting today has a refreshed exterior design, a revamped cabin with the latest tech, and revised powertrains that make more horsepower. BMW also went to work on the 2 GC's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, with the heavily revised engine said to be more fuel-efficient. It's more powerful too. The 228 model now has 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, which are up from its predecessor's 228 horses and 258 pound-feet. While the M235's torque is down from 332 to 295 pound-feet, its horsepower has risen from 301 to 312 hp. BMW also replaces the previous eight-speed automatic with a seven-speed dual-clutch unit.
