Sheila Dixon runs for Baltimore mayor again, setting up Brandon Scott rematch
fter months of speculation, Sheila Dixon announces she will run for Baltimore City mayor, again.
Dixon’s decision to jump into the race makes her the first major challenger to incumbent Mayor Brandon Scot and sets the stage for a rematch of the 2020 primary election when she narrowly lost to Scott. Winning the May 14 primary election essentially seals the fate for a candidate since Democrats outnumber Republicans in Baltimore by about 10 to 1.
During an interview with FOX45 Morning News, Dixon said she routinely gets asked about running for mayor. She said juvenile crime and other violent crimes needs to become a priority.
