My loves, in this week's #MuchoQueContar I'm sharing with you how my first trip to Brazil went and how happy I am with all the love and affection I've received from the Brazilian public since then. Don't miss it! 🥰

I think Brazil has a more euphoric, more loving, more devoted audience than other Latin American countries—absolutely beautiful! I can't believe that everyone in Brazil speaks Spanish. In Mexico, nobody speaks Portuguese; some speak a little English, but Portuguese is very complicated. I've been studying, I've had some Portuguese classes, but only for eight hours a day, over four days, just two hours each day. So, that's why my Portuguese is a bit like this. But I think it's incredible that the fans speak Spanish and understand it so well. I feel a strong connection with Brazil, I don't know, maybe it's our culture, our ways of being. I feel a beautiful connection with Brazil, with the people of Brazil, and I feel like I'm in my second home. It's beautiful. Oh, it's wonderful! It's easier to sing in Portuguese than to speak it. When you sing, you already know what you're going to say, you learn the lyrics, but my producer and friend César Lemos, who did the recordings and also the translations of the songs—because they're my own songs that I wrote—they turned out great recorded in Portuguese. I wanted to sing in Portuguese because I know the Brazilian public understands Spanish, I know the Brazilian public likes Mexican music in Spanish, but for me, singing in Portuguese, speaking in Portuguese, makes me feel much closer to Brazil, closer to the people speaking and singing in Portuguese. Now these songs are available on iTunes Brazil, on digital platforms. The fans really like them, and I really like singing in Portuguese because I have a little less of an accent, and I also think I have a special connection with Brazilian music; I've loved it for several years. So for me, now singing in Portuguese is so beautiful. I feel important singing in Portuguese. I'm going to tell this story in my "Much to Tell" episodes on YouTube because what happened was that I was invited—the people who worked with Gugu, Gugu is so beloved. They called my mom and invited me to do an interview and visit Brazil. So I was okay, all good, I don't speak Portuguese, how do I know if the audience knows me? And I talked to my mom, I asked her: Mom, what's going to happen? She said, I don't know, but I think everything will be fine because if it weren't, they wouldn't have invited me, so it's okay, it'll be fine. I was a little scared, I remember I couldn't sleep on the flight because I was so worried and thinking about what was going to happen. Will the public know who I am? Then, when we landed, I was fine, let's go! I remember a long staircase at the airport, I think in Guarulhos, there was a long staircase, I was getting off the plane thinking fast, in seconds, I don't think anyone knows who I am. So I got to this staircase and looked around quickly and saw a lot of people, hundreds of people, I don't know if it was a thousand, a thousand people waiting for something, for someone. So I thought, probably someone important is coming on the plane. In that second I started hearing people shouting, making noise, saying "Chispita, Chispita!" They had signs with my name, with the name Chispita. Lucero is a difficult name in Brazil, it doesn't exist. So it was Chispita. I was surprised and it was like it couldn't be possible. Then I also saw that the girls had a little Chispita doll in a box like a TV screen and the doll was inside. So I was like: there's a doll with Chispita's face, with the name Chispita? Am I famous here? So it was such a wonderful surprise, for me it was beautiful. A lot of time passed and I didn't go back for a few years, but I knew that they showed soap operas there and that's how I knew that one day I would return. After a few years, when I was invited to the Telethon, it was such a beautiful experience for me. The audience, besides enjoying the telenovela "A Doña," recognized me, knowing I was the little spark who had first visited them many years ago, back in the eighties. So, it was like coming back and finding this audience again, this audience that knew me or recognized me. Then, the story of the telenovela they invited me to do, "Carinha de Anjo," was so beautiful—playing Teresa. It was wonderful and also a dream! I met so many friends, incredible people! And now this door that's opening, this path that's gradually growing in Brazil, is very important to me. I want to continue doing things in Portuguese, continue practicing the language; I need to practice, you know. But I want to do many more things, come back many times, and be able to be close to the audience because I've received demonstrations of love and affection that I can't thank them enough for; it's been wonderful. It was so much fun, working on finding new voices, new singers; for them, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
