To set up conversion tracking in google ads, go to tools, under measurement click on conversions. Now click on the plus button to set up a new conversion. Choose the category that you want to track, and click next. Google will provide you the two javascript codes, one is the global site tag (which needs to be placed on the header of every page), and the event snippet code, which needs to place on the specific section of the website.
Once you get the code, come to the plugins section of WordPress, click on add new plugin, and search for "header and footer scripts" by digital liberation. Click on install and activate. Now move to the pages, and click on edit on any page, at the bottom section, a new section appears, where you can add javascript codes.
