Excel Autocomplete Function
Stop retyping the same thing over and over—Excel can finish it for you. Learn how to make your data entry smoother and more consistent with one simple feature.

Instead of typing the same text repeatedly, Excel's AutoComplete feature predicts what you're typing and finishes it for you.
For instance, if you're listing products, after typing a few letters of a product name, Excel suggests and completes the name for you. It also ensures your entries are spelled correctly and consistent. AutoComplete even fixes letter capitalization.
If you don't want the suggestion, you can keep typing. You can also access the feature by right-clicking a cell and choosing from a list. Just remember, AutoComplete only works in a continuous column, and if you want to stop its suggestion, you can press Delete and Enter.
If AutoComplete is bothersome, you can turn it off in Excel's settings.
