The powerful but rarely used strategy for Missing View drawings is to first sketch a 3D isometric view, and draw the missing 3rd orthographic projection from this 3D view.
The 3D isometric view doesn't have to be scaled perfect like the Inventor Drawings in this video. A quick napkin pencil sketch is fine, as long as all the features are present. You will still line up your missing drawing from the 2 orthographic projections you start with using the miter line. You just use the 3D view to quickly identify faces that would be visible and hidden on the missing 3rd drawing.
