In this training I am going share my Scrivener category selection template with you and show you how to use it to research book ideas and select the best categories for your books using the information in the template and Scrivener’s search function.
There are 2 distinct lists of categories to choose from when you upload a book to Amazon KDP:
The BISAC categories which you find the upload menu inside KDP but you only get access to this menu when you are actually uploading a book, so I’ve created a list that you can browse through comfortably in Scrivener.
Then there are Amazon’s browse categories lists which are based on what people are actually searching for. I have created a list from the categories lists in the left hand sidebar of the bestselling pages for each category on Amazon.
In this training I show you how you can use these lists to browse for ideas to write about or to find the right category for a book you have already written.
