Bringing Edge DevTools to Visual Studio Code (English)
On 26/05/2021, Michael Liao gave a lecture about DevTools during a JavaScript Israel virtual Meetup.
Abstract:
When it comes to debugging and inspecting web projects, the developer tools that ship with browsers have become an invaluable asset.
You can see the rendered HTML and CSS and you can tweak the settings live and with visual tools until you are happy with the result.
The problem is that you work on the end results, and you still need to apply all the fixes to your source code. So why not bring the developer tools of the browser into your editor and cut out the extra step?
In this talk Michael Liao of Microsoft will show you how we wrote an extension for VS Code that does that, what we learned on the way and where we want to go with this.
