What is the VRS Program?
YouTube, one of the largest video-sharing platforms in the world, has recently launched the Viewer Revenue Sharing (VRS) program in India. This program is a game-changer for content viewers as it allows them to earn money by watching videos on the platform.
At this moment, the YouTube VRS program is not available for all users/viewers as YouTube is still testing it with selected users. The program will be made available to everyone after the testing is complete.
Before the launch of the VRS program, YouTube had only one program for creators, the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). Under YPP, creators earn money from the ads displayed on their videos. However, viewers did not have any option to earn money from watching these videos.
