Kitchenaid® Cooktop Installation Guide
When installing a cooktop, it's important to keep the following things in mind. First, a disconnect and reconnect of the fuel source is required for both electric and gas cooktops. Cooktop hookups are usually located in the cabinet below the cooktop surface. Once you have safely disconnected the old cooktop from its fuel source, it can be carefully lifted away from the countertop opening.
When installing a new cooktop, be sure to measure the current opening. If your new cooktop is replacing one of a different size, a recut of the opening will be needed. Your counter may require trim fittings or caulking.
To ensure safety, a professional install is available at online checkout.
