Learn how to measure for a new KitchenAid® Refrigerator. Measuring your home in advance can help make delivery and installation faster and easier.

Start by measuring the height, depth and width of your available space. Remember to add a half inch of space to the measurements to account for ventilation. Also, be sure to measure the area in front of the refrigerator to make sure the refrigerator doors can fully open. This is especially important if you have an island.

Keep in mind that most refrigerators extend about six inches beyond kitchen cabinetry. For a smoother look or to save space, consider purchasing a counter-depth model.

In addition to measuring the available space in your kitchen, map out a path to your kitchen and measure any tight gaps along the way. This will help make appliance delivery simple for both you and your delivery team.
